The helmet has a helmet pad (6) arranged at an inner side of an outer shell (2), where the pad comprises a contact surface (7) attached to a head of a helmet carrier. A pre-set surface area of the contact surface of the helmet pad includes recesses (10, 11) provided for a holder of a spectacle, which is positionable in front of eyes of the helmet carrier after attaching the helmet. The recesses are designed in side areas (8, 9) of the helmet pad, where the recesses comprise an approximately linearly running section in an extending direction.
