An electronic apparatus for calculating an azimuth angle by compensating an offset value and a method for the same are provided to exactly measure the azimuth by calculating the azimuth with a normalization value. An electronic apparatus(100) for calculating an azimuth angle by compensating an offset value includes a terrestrial magnetism sensor(110), a first memory(120), a second memory(130), a comparing unit(140), a compensating unit(150), and a control unit(160). The terrestrial magnetism sensor is a triaxial terrestrial magnetism sensor having X, Y, and Z axes mutually crossing at right angles. The first memory is saved with a calculated initial offset value, a scale value, and a radius error value. The second memory is saved with a terrestrial magnetism outputting value needed to compensate the offset value. The comparing unit assumes an offset compensating factor to be any valve to compare the assumed offset compensating factor with a critical value of the size corresponding to the initial offset value saved in the first memory. The compensating unit receives a compared result from the comparing unit. The control unit controls the comparing unit and the compensating unit to perform comparing, adjusting, and compensating works repeatedly until computing the final offset value.
