<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus of a contactless development system with which the occurrence of banding can be suppressed by suppressing the occurrence of speed unevenness of a developing roller while development gap adjustment is performed by spacers on the developing roller with ease and a high degree of accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The spacers 37 which are gap adjusting members for adjusting the developing gap with a photoreceptor are bonded and fixed by tacky adhesives 39 respectively to both ends of the developing roller 17. The spacers 17 are constituted by impregnating a base material composed of a porous annular film member having a number of microholes 37a with a lubricant. The friction between the photoreceptor and the spacers 17 is reduced by the lubricant, and thereby the occurrence of a runout (speed unevenness) in the peripheral direction of the developing roller due to the friction is suppressed and the occurrence of a color smear and the banding is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
