PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass bottle with a shrinkable label wherein it is easily noticed that the glass bottle is broken, positioning of the shrink label is unnecessary, and the shrink level is free from any cut in a distribution stage. SOLUTION: A large number of recesses and projections are formed on a barrel portion of a glass bottle to form recesses continuous both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction, and the barrel portion is covered with a shrink label. Since the recesses are continuous not only in the longitudinal direction but also in the transverse direction, liquid content leaking outside an outer surface of the bottle is spread not only in the longitudinal direction but also in the transverse direction when the bottle is broken, and the liquid content flows from a lower end of the label or from communication holes of the label. Thus, the communication holes of the label need not be positioned, the pitch of the communication holes can be made coarse, and the label is not possibly cut off. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
