PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber metal laminate gasket which is excellent in waterproof adhesion without requiring a harmful chromate coating or the like, by forming rubber metal laminate gasket comprising a complex of rubber and a metal such as stainless steel. SOLUTION: The rubber metal laminate gasket has a silane primer comprising a hydrolytic condensate of organo alkoxysilane, a phenolic top coating material and a nitrile rubber in sequence, on a metal sheet. The gasket has a structure which consists of the metal sheet, the silane primer comprising the hydrolytic condensate of organo alkoxysilane, the phenolic top coating material and a nitrile rubber compound. It exhibits excellent liquid proofing properties to heated water, ethylene glycol or aqueous solution thereof, alcohol, etc. due to use of the hydrolytic condensate of organo alkoxysilane as the primer. Its liquid proofing effect is more outstanding when a component of silane primer and an organometal compound are used together. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
