PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve design quality/design efficiency, and to speed up the design for so-called no trial manufacture. SOLUTION: A part of air inside an ink jet printer is obtained by differential calculation from a 3D-CAD drawing of the ink jet printer and ink jet head, and is set as discrete Mesh model for calculation. A part of the ink jet head is also set as discrete Mesh model. Using these two Mesh models, the part of the ink jet head is moved at an acceleration and constant speed similar to the serial movement of the printer, air flow (turbulent flow) is generated inside the ink jet printer, virtual ink particles with volume, weight, and velocity vector equivalent to those of ink particles delivered by ink jet are generated from the ink jet head, and the behavior and landing position in the air flow of these particles are calculated and determined.
