PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant deterioration detection device placeable on a bearing inside or the like simply with a compact constitution, and capable of detecting stably the deterioration state of a lubricant without being influenced by an electric noise or a temperature change, and a bearing with a detection device equipped with the lubricant deterioration detection device. SOLUTION: This lubricant deterioration detection device 1 has optical fibers 3, 4 on the light-emitting side and on the light-receiving side whose ends 3a, 4a are faced to a lubricant 2 respectively. The device 1 is equipped with a light emitting part 5 and a light receiving part 6 connected respectively to the other ends 3b, 4b of the optical fibers 3, 4 on the light-emitting side and on the light-receiving side, and a determination means 7 for detecting deterioration of the lubricant by a detection output from the light receiving part 6. A detection part 10 constituted of each one end 3a, 4a of the optical fibers 3, 4 in the lubricant deterioration detection device 1 is installed in the bearing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
