PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing magnetic suspension without arranging in a measurement portion, members which affect an air flow such as pieces of wire or struts for supporting a test body, and moreover to provide a magnetic levitation device for performing magnetic suspension even in the case of an actual car with a body made of steel, in a wind tunnel test of a car or railway vehicle. SOLUTION: In this wind tunnel magnetic suspension and balance system for vehicles, a moving ground-plane plate is arranged at a site separated from a floor surface by a predetermined distance at the measurement portion inside its wind tunnel, magnetic flux generating sources such as permanent magnets are housed in the front and rear wheels of a vehicle, and superconducting substances and cooling devices are arranged on the floor surface in positions facing the front and rear wheels, to perform magnetic suspension of the vehicle body by utilizing the property of magnetic flux restraint of the superconducting substances.
