PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual examination device of a film, which successively performs reflection and transmission tests by one device, automatically performs an alteration of testing attitude and a change over of a light source, and automatically protrudes a black screen to an underlay part of the reflection test for optimizing the examination environment. SOLUTION: The visual examination device of the film has a box that is an examination stand variable in its attitude, according to an examination kind, and is also provided with: the black screen which is provided to one side part of the box and protruded or retracted along the translucent plate of the box; and a screen drive device for automatically protruding or retracting the black screen along the translucent plate.
