PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture indicator capable of displaying a prescribed moisture condition in a peripheral environment by a change of a hue change, in particular, the moisture indicator having a memory property in the display and a reduced environment load, and a package constituted of a packing material incorporated with the moisture indicator. SOLUTION: This moisture indicator is layered with at least moisture indicator layers of bilayer constitution, for example, layered sequentially with a pH indicator containing layer containing a pH indicator and a water-soluble salt containing layer containing a water-soluble salt, in at least one side of a base material.
