PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test substance administration system for an animal experiment capable of uniformly and surely administering a necessary amount of test substance from the nose or mouth to the nasal cavity inside or the lung inside of a laboratory animal. SOLUTION: This test substance administration system comprises: a respiration monitoring device 2 monitoring the respiration state of the laboratory animal detected by a respiration pickup 1, measuring a timing changing from an expiration phase to an inspiration phase and outputting a trigger signal T at the timing; and an administration device 3 injecting a prescribed amount of test substance into the nasal cavity inside or the oral cavity inside of the laboratory animal when outputting the trigger signal T from the device 2.
