A KEYPAD ARRAY FOR LANGUAGES HAVING ALPHABETICLA CHARACTERS OF MOBILE PHONE

A keypad for inputting consonants and vowels in the form of an alphabet in a mobile terminal is provided to reduce the number of manipulations of key buttons and maximize efficiency of character transmission. Key buttons(NB) for alphabet vowels are grouped to a vowel input part(V) and arranged at selective positions at which the user's fingers can easily approach and which has high user recognition. Key buttons(NB) are formed at other remaining portions excepting the vowel input part(V). A consonant input part(C) is formed with consonants that are distributed and allocated to the vowel input part(V). Two or more consonants and vowels having geometrically similar association are grouped among alphabet vowels and consonants. Consonants and vowels with a simpler shape among combinations of grouped consonants and vowels are used as the representative sound of a corresponding key button(NB).
