A rotary reciprocating piston is provided to be applied in various fields such as a pump and a motor, and various motion conversion devices, and allow mass production in lower costs by having simple structure for alternatively performing linear reciprocating motion and rotation motion. A rotary reciprocating piston comprises a cylinder block(10), a cylinder head(20), a piston(30), a rod(40) and a power transfer unit(50). The cylinder block comprises a cylinder. The cylinder head is installed in left and right of the cylinder block. The piston is installed in the cylinder block, and performs linear reciprocating motion and rotation motion. The rod is installed in at least one side of the piston. The power transfer unit is coupled to the rod, and buffers reciprocating distance of the piston. A rotation angle of the piston is positively proportional to distance of linear reciprocating motion.
