PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispensing apparatus capable of measuring the viscosity of liquid without having to lessen productivity and suppressing variations in the quantity of discharge to liquids having different viscosities. SOLUTION: The dispensing apparatus includes a piston 2 included in a syringe 1; a driving mechanism 20 connected to a face of the piston 2 protruding from the syringe 1; a probe 6 provided for an discharge opening of the syringe 1; and a driving circuit 7 for driving the driving mechanism 20. The dispensing apparatus includes an arithmetic unit 9 for computing viscosity on the basis of the amount of operation of the driving mechanism 20 when a liquid is drawn by suction by the probe 6 and converting the viscosity into the amount of movement of the piston.
