PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly stable piezoelectric oscillator the structure of which is simplified so that downsizing and weight reduction can be attained. SOLUTION: The highly stable piezoelectric oscillator 10 includes: a crystal resonator 20 provided with a crystal resonator chip, a case 21 for containing the crystal resonator chip, and a metallic base 22; a conductive heating paint 60 coated on the surface of the case 21; and a thermister 50 for measuring temperature of the crystal resonator 20, and the highly stable piezoelectric oscillator 10 is characterized in that it supplies heating power to the conductive heating paint 60 on the basis of a measurement value of the thermister 50 and the generated heat by the conductive heating paint 60 controls the crystal resonator 20 within a prescribed setting temperature range.
