<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic method for cancer by using an agonist and an antagonist of IL-23. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating tumors, especially for modulating activities of cytokine molecules and receptors of the same is provided. The IL-23 agonist or antagonist is able to modulate proliferation of the tumors. Cytokinin molecules of mammals and related reagents thereof are used.
