PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detection apparatus and a temperature detection method, which accurately acquire the temperature of objects to be measured. SOLUTION: An infrared sensor 11 detects infrared radiation emitted from an object to be measured and outputs a signal S11 indicating a voltage Vo corresponding to the temperature Tbb of the object to be measured. A thermistor 12a detects the sensor temperature Tth of the infrared sensor 11 and outputs a signal S12 indicating a voltage Vth corresponding to the detected temperature Tth. A temperature operation part 4 outputs a signal Sout indicating the temperature Tbb of the object to be measured on the basis of signals amplified and converted into digital signals. A coefficient for converting the temperature TVV into a voltage value and a coefficient for converting the temperature Tth into a voltage value are set at values different from each other as coefficients to be used for the correction of temperature conversion. The temperature operation part 4 acquires the temperature Tbb of the object to be measured according to an arithmetic expression in which the coefficients are made to be separated from and independent of each other.
