PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for combining crop protection agents, especially herbicide active ingredient/phytotoxicity mitigation agent (safener), extraordinary suitable for applying to weeds coexisting with useful plants. SOLUTION: A phenoxy-alkanoic acid derivative, a pyridyloxy-alkanoic acid derivative and a quinolinoxy-alkanoic acid derivative each having a specific structure are used as a safener for protecting cultivated plants against the phytotoxic side-effects of herbicides.
