A frame rail assembly (10) configured for use in various applications, including automotive vehicles. The frame rail assembly (10) includes two rail portions (12, 14). The rail portions (12, 14) include apertures (26) each encompassed by a mounting boss (28). In addition, the frame rail (10) includes spacers (16) sized and configured to receive the mounting bosses (28) in a snug fit to help with alignment. The spacers (16) include at least one dimple (34) in order to guide a mounting bolt (44) though the apertures (26). The mounting bolt (44) may be employed to hold the frame rail assembly (10) together and attach other components to the frame rail assembly (10). |
