<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can precisely detect eye contact at an always constant distance regardless of the attitude of the camera. <P>SOLUTION: This imaging device has an eye contact detection means for detecting that to the photographer has performed eye contact on an optical finder by projecting and receiving lights 322, 323 of light, and an attitude detection means 315 for detecting the attitude.
