PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract trend information automatically from news group relating a certain field and indicate it.

SOLUTION: An information extraction/display system 1 extracts main unit expression, main time expression and main item expression as main expressions from news group stored in related article DB 14, and extracts trend information pairs from the news group in the related news DB 14 using extracted main expressions. The information extraction/display system 1 graphs and indicates the extracted trend information pairs, or indicates the extracted trend information pairs emphasizing them.
