PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can stably retain a state in which the ink cartridge is set, and which can be prevented from being broken, and to provide an inkjet recorder. SOLUTION: When the ink cartridge 14 is set in a refill unit 13, a pressing holding member 61 is brought into contact with a pressing part 200a as a part of the back face of the ink cartridge 14. The ink cartridge is held by an urging force (elastic force) of a coil spring 66 of the pressing holding member 61, and therefore, the ink cartridge 14 can be held stably. As holding the ink cartridge 14 is carried out by the elastic force of the pressing holding member 61, a load applied to the surface of the ink cartridge 14 can be reduced, so that the ink cartridge 14 can be prevented from breaking.
