PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for fishing use, settable for itself at a fishing site and fitted with a pocket from which a fishline can be drawn easily. SOLUTION: The container 1 for fishing use as a fishing rod case settable for itself at a fishing site comprises a cylindrical fishing rod case body 2 and a pocket 3 and a longitudinal bag 4 each fitted on the front face of the fishing rod case body 2. In this container 1, the pocket 3 is formed of a translucent synthetic resin sheet, wherein the openingαat the top is provided with a chuck 13 and a part 5 to be threaded with a fishline with an eyelet-like ring is furnished below the end of the chuck 13 on the flank 3a of the pocket 3.
