The portable information module (F), for a vehicle driver, has an acoustic or optical display (AE) together with a monitor (EE) for vehicle-related dynamic parameters and a control unit (STE). The data collected by the monitor are arranged into a number of driving dynamic information objects to be passed to the display. The monitor incorporates a position finder, e.g. a global positioning system (GPS), to convert position data into a vehicle-related dynamic parameter.
