<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage generation circuit capable of accurately detecting a DC current between a plurality of charging members and image carriers by a single current detection circuit regardless of the variation of ambient temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The high voltage generation circuit 1 applying oscillating voltage to the charging member CH arranged in contact with or proximately to the image carrier PC is constituted of: a single DC transformer 10; a plurality of linear DC regulators 20 and a plurality of AC transformers 30 connected in parallel with the output of the DC transformer 10; and the single current detection circuit 40 for detecting the DC current between the charging member CH and the image carrier PC, and detects a difference between the DC current when all the linear DC regulators 20 are adjusted to be at lower voltage than discharge start voltage and the DC current when other outputs except the linear DC regulator 20 corresponding to the predetermined charging member CH are adjusted to be at lower voltage than the discharge start voltage as the DC current between the predetermined charging member CH and the image carrier PC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
