<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate wasteful use of a memory and to reduce a processing burden when a structured document is printed. <P>SOLUTION: According to the multi-function printer 20, style information usable in printing-out is selected from style information applied to the structured document received from any of external devices (a personal computer 40, a digital TV 42, a digital camera 44 and a mobile phone 46). Printing processing is executed by developing the structured document into the memory on the basis of the selected style information. In other words, data unnecessary for printing-out is prevented from being developed into the memory.
