PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus which is structurally convenient for downsizing, because one tube has only to be run from a carriage. SOLUTION: This liquid jet apparatus comprises a liquid jet head 20 which is supplied with ink so as to emit a jet of the ink, and the carriage 13 which is equipped with the liquid jet head so as to be reciprocated in a main scanning direction. The liquid jet apparatus is equipped with a plurality of sub-tanks 40 which are mounted in the carriage so as to house colored high-concentration inks on a color-by-color basis, respectively, and a main tank 61 for a diluent, uncontaining a colored component, and/or colorless ink, which is mounted on the side of an apparatus body.
