PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for photosensitive recording medium which improves reliability and operability by arranging a locking mechanism which locks the shutter at a close position in the cartridge for photosensitive recording medium to prevent careless opening of the shutter and allow for surely opening the shutter when opening the shutter. SOLUTION: The cartridge 2 for photosensitive recording medium is equipped with a locking mechanism 27 which is engaged to the shutter 13 and locks it at a close position. In a locking member 63 composing the locking mechanism 27, a rectangle operation hole 63b which is engaged to a locking release arm 78, and releases the locking is formed. Also the locking release arm 78 is inserted from openings 72 and 73 prepared on the cartridge main body 11 which exposes the rectangle operation hole 63b to outside, and is engaged to the rectangle operation hole 63b to release the locking. At least the width W2 of the rectangle operation hole 63b is formed wider than the width W1 of the openings 72 and 73 and an edge part 63d of the rectangle operation hole 63b is positioned at outside of the side walls 25m and 26m of the openings 72 and 73.
