PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device in which influence on a liquid crystal alignment state can be reduced and the liquid crystal can be efficiently heated. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display 100 has a substrate 101, wiring 111X, 111Y formed on the substrate, an element 11T connected to the wiring, an electrode 114 connected to the element, and the liquid crystal 104 arranged on the electrode, and the liquid crystal display 100 includes a heater layer 116 arranged in the wiring, the element and the substrate side of the electrode, and an insulating film 117 arranged in the wiring, the element and between the electrode and the heater layer.
