PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in electrical properties and cracking resistance, and an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a high-quality image. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a conductive substrate and a charge transport layer containing a compound of formula (1), wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>15</SP>are each H, CF<SB>3</SB>(CF<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O- or the like, provided that at least one of R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>15</SP>is CF<SB>3</SB>(CF<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O-, and (n) is an integer of 0-3.
