PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for purification of a steam flow, in which corrosion action of main steam system equipment in a power generation plant or the like can be reduced by efficiently separating droplets or impurity particles from a steam flow while hardly increasing the pressure loss of the steam flow. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a separation mechanism 5 provided on the downstream side 2 of a curved pipe with a curved part which transfers the steam flow 3, the mechanism separating droplets or impurity particles 6 contained in the steam flow 3 by use of a swirl flow component 4 of the steam flow generated on the downstream side of the curved part.
