PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil in which a ground terminal and a mounting bolt do not directly contact. SOLUTION: The ignition coil for the internal combustion engine is provided with a primary coil and a secondary coil, a core magnetically connecting the two coils, and an isolating case storing these, and includes the ground terminal 18 grounding to the engine via a bolt or a bushing by fixing a flange part of the isolating case on the engine by the mounting bolt on the flange part 15. The ground terminal 18 is built in the flange part 15, and conduction between the ground terminal and the engine 17 is made via the bushing installed near a bolt hole formed on the flange part. Consequently, the ground terminal and the mounting bolt do not directly touch and there is no risk of fracture.
