PROVIDING A DYNAMIC USER INTERFACE FOR A DENSE THREE-DIMENSIONAL SCENE

A system (10) and method (250) for providing a dynamic user interface (81) for a dense three-dimensional scene (62) is presented. Clusters (45) are placed in a three-dimensional scene (62) arranged proximal to each other such cluster (45) to form a cluster spine (124). Each cluster (45) includes one or more concepts (47). Each cluster spine (124) is projected into a two-dimensional display (63) relative to a stationary perspective as a hierarchical view (302) of the cluster spines (124) in the display (63). Folder controls (101) operating on the hierarchical view (302) are presented. The hierarchical view (302) includes an indicator representing each cluster spine (124) and a line indicating the cluster spine (124) interrelationships relative to other cluster spines (124). A label (91) is generated to identify one such concept (47) included in each cluster spine (124) in the hierarchical view (302).
