The invention relates to a self-closing valve with a permanently antimicrobial effect comprising: a base body (1) and an actuating device (2), interacting with the base body (1) and arranged movably in relation to the base body (1) for switching on an open state for the self-closing valve integrated in a liquid-carrying system, wherein the base body (1) and the actuating device (2) are formed in such a way that the self-closing valve has at least one stagnation zone (3), which at least partially fills with liquid during the operation of the self-closing valve in the liquid-carrying system, wherein the liquid in the stagnation zone (3) does not undergo any significant exchange, or only slowly, with the liquid that flows through the self-closing valve in the open state, which can lead to the development of microbial contamination of the self-closing valve. According to the invention, it is provided that the self-closing valve has antimicrobially acting means (4), which act in the region of the stagnation zone (3). |
