Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition which is intended to be administered to a patient who needs the inhibition of 11ß-HSD1 or the control of 11ß-HSD1 activity. The pharmaceutical composition comprises a 3-arylamino-1,2,4-triazole derivative represented by the formula (I), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug of the derivative, or a solvate of the derivative, salt or prodrug as an active ingredient. The 3-arylamino-1,2,4-triazole derivative is remarkably stable in a human serum and is a highly promising pharmaceutical agent.
