<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system and an information management method for easily preventing leakage of information. <P>SOLUTION: In detection of connection of a removable medium 100, a computer device 300 determines whether a radio tag 101 is attached or not and writes a data file in the removable medium 100 while transmitting operation history information showing the data file written in the removable medium 100 to the radio tag 101. When the removable medium 100 carried by a user 520 passes through a gate 510, a passing tag processor 400 receives the operation history information from the radio tag 101 to store it in a history database 441 and collates the operation history information with illicit information registered in an illicit access information database 400.
