PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of suppressing deformation when gas is generated. SOLUTION: A battery element 10 is housed in a battery container 20, and a safety valve 30, a heat sensitive resistance element 40, and a battery cover 50 are fit to the opening part of the battery container 20 through a gasket 60 by crimping. An insulating plate 71 is arranged between the battery element and the safety valve 30. A plurality of opening parts 71C are installed in a position capable of facing to a vent 31B of the safety valve 30 in the surroundings of a central part in the insulating plate 71. The opening part 71C is divided into seven or more in the circumferential direction. Even if the position relation between the opening part 71C of the insulating plate 71 and the vent 31B of the safety valve 30 is slipped in the circumferential direction, the facing area of them can be widened.
