PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundancy method which improves availability of the network by one standby network interface without preparing a plurality of standby network interfaces. SOLUTION: The disclosed method is comprised of an arbitrary server for executing a system job and a router for managing data transmitted from the server integrally. The server for executing the system job includes a driver for confirming validity of a network interface and a daemon for giving an IP address to the network interface or carrying out the cancellation thereof. The router also includes a driver for confirming validity of the network interface and a daemon for controlling and carrying out routing. By utilizing the method of the present invention, the server connected to the router can perform highly available system design without being conscious of redundancy of the network interface.
