PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device of a seat allowing improvement of operability of height adjusting mechanism and angle adjusting mechanism and seat. SOLUTION: An operating force imparting part 28 of the seat for the vehicle is provided with an operating lever 30 imparted with operating force by an operation of a seated person, a lifter plate 46 for transmitting the operating force of the operating lever 30 to the height adjusting mechanism for adjusting a height of a seat cushion, a reclining plate 38 for transmitting the operating force of the operating lever 30 to the angle adjusting mechanism for adjusting an angle of a seat back in relation to the seat cushion, and a switching mechanism 50 capable of selectively taking a state for transmitting the operating force of the operating lever 30 to the lifter plate 46 and a state for transmitting the operating force to the reclining plate 38. The switching mechanism 50 switches a first engaged state in which a switching pin 54 is engaged to an engagement groove 46B of the lifter plate 46 and a second engaged state in which the switching pin 54 is engaged to an engagement groove 38A of the reclining plate 38.
