PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tonneau cover device free to open large and to fold by positioning a rear part of a tonneau cover at a sufficiently high position in making the tonneau cover in an opened state to make it possible to put in and out a large baggage or a large number of baggages. SOLUTION: This tonneau cover device has the tonneau cover 11 and a pair of left and right guide rails 21, a front end part of the tonneau cover 11 is axially supported free to revolve and constituted of board members 12 to 15 divided in the longitudinal direction and connected to each other free to bend, and the board member 15 is guided and supported free to vertically move along the guide rail 21 and constituted to absorb a change of a distance in the vehicle longitudinal direction between a pin member which is a supporting point to the guide rail 21 of the board member 15 and an axially supporting part 20 of the board member 12 through a bend of the tonneau cover 11 in raising the board member 15 along the guide rail 21.
