PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplying reef for seaweed bed preventing contact with herbivorous fishes without requiring a large-sized apparatus, etc., for installation and surely rearing algae. SOLUTION: The multiplying reef for seaweed bed is arranged in the sea bottom to form a seaweed bed. The multiplying reef is provided with a rearing member 1 for rearing the algae SW and making the SW take root, a holding tool 2 lightweight so as to be artificially carriable and a preventing means for preventing fishes feeding on the algae SW from approaching the algae SW taking root on the rearing member 1. The holding tool 2 is provided with a housing part having a housing space SP housing articles making the movement impossible and forming the rearing member 1 so as to be mountable and a mounting means 22 for surrounding the rearing member 1 mounted on the housing part and mounting the preventing means.
