LUBRICANT DETERIORATION DETECTOR AND BEARING WITH DETECTOR

A lubricant deterioration detector that ensures a high freedom of disposition in bearing interior, etc., and that without being influenced by lubricant thickness or temperature change, is capable of stably detecting of the state of lubricant deterioration; and a bearing with detector equipped with the lubricant deterioration detector. The lubricant deterioration detector (1) includes light source (2), multiple light detection elements (3) capable of detecting a light emitted from the light source (2) and having transmitted lubricant (6), and judging means (5). The multiple light detection elements (3) are those wherein the positions of light detection planes are sequentially dislocated from each other. The judging means (5) compares the intensities of output signals from the multiple light detection elements (3) with each other to thereby attain detection of the state of deterioration of the lubricant (6).
