<p>The treating of ice slurry produced from a water/alcohol mixture in a treatment storage container (2), comprises determining the concentration of ice in the ice slurry sample from the storage container, comparing calculated actual value with given desired value, and changing the concentration according to the deviation of the actual value from the desired value. The ice slurry is mixed before withdrawing the sample for obtaining a homogeneous ice concentration. The liquid component and the ice-shaped component of the sample are separated from one another. The liquid component and the ice-shaped component of the sample are separated from one another and the concentration is determined by weights and/or volume measurements of two components and/or the sample. The weight and/or the volume of the sample are determined before separation of the components and the weight and/or the volume of a component is determined after and/or during the separation. A quantity of ice slurry is circulated in a cycle and the sample is taken from the circulated quantity. An equilibrizing liquid ice or ice slurry, whose ice concentration lies below the actual value, is supplied to the treatment storage container, if the actual value exceeds the desired value. The equilibrizing liquid ice or ice slurry, whose ice concentration lies above the actual value, is supplied to the treatment storage container, if the actual value falls below the desired value. The ice and the liquid components of the ice slurry supply removed from the supply tank, are separated for the production of equilibrizing ice, the equilibrizing ice slurry and the equilibrizing liquid coolant, which are obtained from an ice slurry supply tank that is present in addition to the ice in the storage container. The ice slurry supply is subjected to a filtration process for the separation of the components. A quantity of ice slurry is filled into an uptake tank. The liquid component and the quantity of the ice are separated from one another by a filter. The sample is filled into a measuring container (3) and the ice slurry supply is filled into a metering container (4). The volume and/or the weight of the mass filled into the measuring container, is measured by a measuring instrument, which is arranged at the metering container. The ice slurry is filled into the uptake tank and the liquid component is separated from the ice of the ice slurry supply for the production of the equilibrizing liquid coolant, equilibrizing ice slurry or equilibrizing ice supply. The pressure prevalent in the container is increased during filtration by a pressure application system, which is arranged at the measuring container and/or at the metering container. A separating equipment is arranged at the measuring container and/or at the metering container. The necessary quantity of liquid equilibrizing coolant, equilibrizing ice slurry or equilibrizing ice is measured by the measuring instrument. The sample is again fed back to the storage container after the measurement. The quantity of ice slurry supply that need not be supplied to the storage container, is fed back again to the ice slurry supply tank.
