The switch has an operating lever (11) comprising a mounting section (14) that is attached in an area of a steering column of a motor vehicle. The mounting section has a coupling unit (24) for a replacement operation unit (30), where the coupling unit is arranged at a free end of the mounting section. The unit (30) is coupled with the mounting section by the coupling unit during dismantling of an operating section (12) from the mounting section. The coupling unit has a form closure area connected with a complementarily designed form closure area of the replacement operation unit in a form-fit manner.
