<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display capable of preventing damages to an element due to high temperature of laser at laser irradiation to glass frits for sealing, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL display comprises a substrate 300 having a pixel region I and a non-pixel region II and a sealing substrate 420 to seal a substrate, and the pixel region I comprises a thin-film transistor including a semiconductor layer 320, a gate electrode 330, and a source and a drain electrodes 360a, 360b, a planarizing film 370 located on the thin-film transistor, a first electrode located on the planarizing film, a pixel defining layer 390 located on the first electrode, an organic film layer 400 which is located on the first electrode and the pixel defining layer and includes at least an emitting layer, and a second electrode 410 located on the organic film layer. The non-pixel region II comprises a metal wiring, the planarizing film 370, including an opening part to which a part of the metal wiring, is exposed, and a glass frit which is located on the opening part and seals the substrate and the sealing substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
