<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for surely supplying power from an accumulation device to a fixing device during the restoration of a sleep mode in an image forming apparatus provided with the accumulation device and the fixing device using the power of the accumulation device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a copying machine 10, the accumulation device 120 and the fixing device 200 allowed to use power from the accumulation device 120. The copying machine 10 is provided with a power monitoring circuit 180 for detecting the remaining electric energy of the accumulation device 120 and a sleep charge control part 410 for charging the accumulation device 120 with power of commercial power supply AC from the charging device 110 when the remaining electric energy becomes a prescribed amount (allowable minimum accumulation amount) or less in the sleep mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
