DETERIORATION DIAGNOSIS DEVICE FOR LINEAR AIR-FUEL RATIO SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly execute highly accurate detection of deterioration while minimizing the degradation of emission during diagnosis as much as possible.

SOLUTION: A disturbance generating means is provided for outputting disturbance to a feedback control system when predetermined diagnosing conditions are established. In accordance with the output of the linear air-fuel ratio sensor, at least one of a waste time and a time constant of the linear air-fuel ratio sensor is computed as a determination parameter. The disturbance generating means outputs the disturbance to the feedback control system to correct feedback before the disturbance generating means outputs the disturbance.
