<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a range where identification method and personal identification information used for identification is applied not every application but every group of identification data corresponding to each service managed by each application, and perform the personal identification using different personal identification information with the same identification application. <P>SOLUTION: In the system allowing a user to receive a service from a plurality of service providing apparatuses using an IC card, when the user selects use of a certain service, identification application is specified with identification data of the identification method, and it is collated with identification side representative identification data using representative identification data of the group including the identification data for specifying the selected service as a key. After the result of the collation, personal identification information related to the successful identification side representative identification data is specified, and the specified identification application is executed to perform user's identification.
