<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader capable of coping with the shortening of a communication distance caused by the lowering of the resonance frequency of the reader due to the approach of an IC card and the lowering of a magnetic-field strength generated with the lowering of the resonance frequency. <P>SOLUTION: Capacitors 4100, 4200, 4300 and 4400 fitted to an antenna 1360A are changed over in a time division by controlling a control circuit 1310A. Accordingly, the reader copes with the lowering of the magnetic-field strengths different at every communication system, and the lowering of the magnetic-field strength due to the approach of the IC card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
