PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input unit and a mobile terminal device using the input unit, and a content data browsing method in the mobile terminal device, by which a user can display and store a usable content with a simple and comprehensible operation method. SOLUTION: An operation section 21 for data saving is provided at a surrounding area which is close to a display section 11 and in an area A including those, a pad section 31 that can detect a movement status of an object on a device chassis 1 is provided. A content data selected by a movement operation of an object on the device chassis 1 from the display section 11 to the operation section 21 or its reverse can be temporarily stored and the data temporarily stored can be displayed in the display section 11 again.
